What We Source From Asia, and What We Don't

Table of Content

This page lists the product categories Orientwings International has sourced or quoted from Asia for US buyers. It also lists what we do not take on, and why. If your product is not on either list, the last section explains how we look at a new category.

Product categories we have sourced and quoted from Asia

Each category below comes from a project we worked on. Client names are withheld. Where we have published a case, it is linked.

Heavy equipment attachments

Custom-built excavator attachments made to the buyer's machine model, sourced from China. Fit depends on hydraulic pressure, flow rate and coupling dimensions, so the specification is confirmed in writing with the factory before production.

Food processing and packaging machinery

Custom packaging and filling machines for food producers, sourced from China and inspected in person before shipment. After-sales arrangements are put in writing before the machine ships. Soontrue has granted our Taiwan company authorized status to handle procurement, heavy cargo logistics, and local supply chain services.

Servo capping machines with cap elevators and conveyors, quoted from a factory in China.

Commercial furniture

Design furniture for commercial spaces, from suppliers that sell through Chinese e-commerce platforms. Dimensions and materials are checked before shipment.

Products we do not take on

We do not take on products that need FDA clearance or inspection to enter the US. We cannot verify whether a factory meets the standards FDA applies in its inspections, so we do not handle these items.

According to FDA, the products it regulates include food, medical products such as drugs, devices and biological products, radiation-emitting electronic products, animal feed, tobacco products and cosmetics ( FDA, Import Basics ). Some everyday electronics fall into the radiation-emitting group, so we check this before quoting on any electronic product.

How we look at a category we have not sourced before

A new category goes through the same steps as the ones above:

  • We check the supplier's business registration, registered capital, and whether the factory physically exists.
  • We confirm the specification in writing with the factory before we quote.
  • We check whether the product falls under FDA or other US agency rules on import.

If a product falls outside what we can handle, we tell you before any quote or payment.

Common questions

Can you source a product that is not listed here?

Yes, as long as it does not need FDA clearance or inspection to enter the US. Send us the product details and we will tell you whether it fits.

Which countries do you source from?

The projects above were sourced from China, Taiwan and Japan. We have our own sourcing team in China and an office in Taiwan.

Why don't you take on FDA-regulated products?

We cannot verify whether a factory meets the standards FDA applies in its inspections, so we do not take these products on.

Do you only work for buyers?

Risk control comes first in our sourcing decisions, and we sit on the buyer's side, not the supplier's.

How do we start?
